This time last year we had to celebrate in Barcelona, this year we had to do it in isolation! But Harry still had a fab day on Sunday when he turned 12. We finally got to see his Nanna who came for the day (my mum) who we hadn’t seen since February, a long time…but still can’t hug.

These last few months have tested me emotionally, with the fear of Covid-19, travelling to Barcelona during lockdown, ensuring Harry gets the treatment he needs safely, being apart from Oscar to do this, my stepmum very nearly losing her life to Covid and my dad also very poorly with it. Dad is now fine and Sally is doing incredibly well and recovering at home after 26 days in a coma, it will of course take time but we are thankful to the amazing NHS and her fighting spirit that she is here. We also had a scare with an MRI scan for Harry where we thought he had relapsed again. Russ and I kept it quiet but were petrified for a while.

But the great news is a second scan showed no evidence of disease (NED). Harry has now almost completed his first cycle of chemotherapy, which is taken orally at home and he’s doing great!
Homeschooling and lockdown for my two is really challenging at times but I have to say I’m loving seeing Oscar and Harry together, just as they should be.

Happy Birthday to you Harry, keep growing, keep being your amazing self. I love you more than you will ever know.
Thank you from Russ and I, to everyone who continues to support our family, we wouldn’t be here without you.
Nina 💛💙 xx
